The Vatican Gardens

Opening hours: 9:00 am -12:00 pm (last entrance)

A 90-minute bus and walking tour of the Vatican Gardens is possible through the Vatican Office of Information for Pilgrims and Tourists located in Saint Peter's Square near the Post Office. You can ask a guard for assistance in finding it. The tour of the gardens is offered every day at 10 am, except Wednesdays and Sundays, and originates at the office. Plan to arrive by 9:45 am. Tickets must be purchased in advance. You can reach them by telephone at (39) 06698-84466 or by fax at (39) 06698-85100. You must have either a passport or an identification card to enter; a driver’s license is not accepted as proper identification. The gardens are not guaranteed to be open every day and the Vatican reserves the right to cancel reservations without previous warning.
