The U.S. Embassy to the Holy See and the Pontifical Gregorian University recently co-hosted an international conference on interfaith action to address global challenges. The conference, entitled “Building Bridges of Hope,” invigorated participants to turn dialogue into action. It consisted of three panel discussions on issues that matter to the entire human family: Equitable and Ethical Development, Caring for the Environment and Preventing Conflicts. Each panel included representatives of each of the “Abrahamic” religions (Christianity, Islam, and Judaism) who spoke about their panel subject from the viewpoint of their respective religion and through the lens of interfaith action.
The Director of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, Mr. Joshua DuBois, made the keynote speech over lunch.
