Ambassador Miguel H. Díaz grew up in Miami, a diverse and dynamic city where he experienced life as a Cuban-American, shifting constantly between different languages and experiences.  His upbringing had a significant influence on his vision as U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See — by growing up “in between” cultures, Ambassador Díaz learned to empathize with people from different backgrounds or with opposing viewpoints, and he brings that unique perspective to his position.  Join a live webchat in Spanish with Ambassador Díaz to learn more about his personal experiences growing up and how they helped him build bridges across disparate communities and cultures!
